On Thursday, hoodlums attacked the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Secretariat in Dutse, Jigawa State’s capital, setting fire to vehicles on the premises.
The #EndBadGovernance protests also turned violent in Hadejia, with protesters in the state capital dispersed by security agents after marching to the Government House.
Similarly, in neighboring Kano State, hoodlums exploited the nationwide protests, setting vehicles on fire at the State High Court premises and looting the newly constructed Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) Industrial Park on the protests’ first day.
The protests, which began on Thursday, have escalated in various parts of Kano and Jigawa, prompting Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf to impose a 24-hour curfew.
