Sen. JD Vance criticized Taylor Swift as “fundamentally disconnected” a day after the Grammy-winning singer endorsed Kamala Harris for president.
Vance’s comments came after Swift supported Harris in an Instagram post following the recent presidential debate. Swift’s post praised Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and a champion for important causes.
In an interview with Fox News, Vance expressed that while Swift’s music is appreciated, her celebrity status is unlikely to sway most voters. He also suggested that Swift may be out of touch with the concerns of average Americans.
In response, Harris’ campaign reacted to Vance’s remarks with a questioning emoji, possibly targeting Trump’s considerable wealth.
