A man renowned as the world’s “most monstrous bodybuilder” has passed away at 36.
Illia Golem from Belarus reportedly had a heart attack at home on September 6, with his wife Anna administering CPR. Despite being airlifted to the hospital, he later died.
In an emotional statement, Anna expressed her grief, saying, “I prayed all this time, hoping that Illia would recover.” She noted that while his heart briefly started beating again, the doctors ultimately informed her that his brain had ceased functioning.
Golem, known for his impressive physique, consumed a staggering 16,500 calories daily, including 108 pieces of sushi and over two kilograms of steak. He was a towering 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a 61-inch chest and 25-inch biceps. Although he didn’t compete professionally, he was a social media icon with over 300,000 Instagram followers. Golem’s dedication to bodybuilding was evident in his ability to lift 600 pounds on the bench press and 700 pounds on deadlifts.
Golem’s journey began as a child at his local gym, inspired by legends like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. He attributed his transformation to years of hard training, discipline, and a deep understanding of exercise and nutrition.
