The singer’s performance of Hymne à L’amour in front of the Eiffel Tower, celebrated by fans and organizers as a highlight of the event, has come under scrutiny. It is now being alleged that the world did not hear her live voice, but a pre-recorded and pitch-corrected studio version instead.
This controversy arose after several music industry experts told Libération newspaper that the performance was undoubtedly pre-recorded. Performer Etienne Guéreau claimed the broadcast used a “corrected playback,” while an anonymous sound engineer insisted it was “100% playback, evident from the first notes.” Paris 2024 organizers declined to comment on the issue, according to the report.
