This controversy arose after several music industry experts told Libération newspaper that the performance was undoubtedly pre-recorded. Performer Etienne Guéreau claimed the broadcast used a “corrected playback,” while an anonymous sound engineer insisted it was “100% playback, evident from the first notes.” Paris 2024 organizers declined to comment on the issue, according to the report.
