Sir Elton John has opened up about his own mortality, sharing his fears in a new documentary about his final tour.
The 77-year-old music icon, now partially blind in one eye and having faced various health challenges, including knee and hip replacements and prostate cancer surgery, reflected on his life during his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour.
In the documentary “Elton John: Never Too Late,” he contemplates aging and the toll of his career, saying, “This is the latter part of my life. I don’t know how much time I have left.”
Elton also shared his thoughts on death, revealing how his two sons, Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11, express concern about his mortality. He wishes to see them grow up, though he acknowledges he may not live to see that.
Despite his health struggles, including a life-threatening infection after prostate cancer treatment in 2019, he remains determined to make the most of the time he has left, cherishing the moments with his family.
