Just days after going viral for being removed from a London-bound flight on November 1, 2024, Bobrisky posted an Instagram story on November 11, 2024, with a photo of himself on another plane, captioned, “See you soon, Nigeria.”
In an Instagram post on November 4, 2024, Bobrisky explained that although his break from Nigeria was brief, it was necessary for his mental well-being. He stated, “I can confirm I’m out of Nigeria temporarily… I need to focus on my sanity and health. Certain Nigerian security agencies have done everything to frustrate me, but I trust God. Imagine paying for business class three times, and only one was successful. @Klm, I hope you guys refund me for the two unused tickets. I know it’s not your fault, but still.”
He continued, “Each business class ticket cost me 9.8 million Naira. I was only able to fly successfully on 3/11/2024. So, before you comment nonsense on my page, check if you could afford three business seats, let alone paying for them three times. Anyway, I’m not in Nigeria, so your comments mean nothing. Cheers.”
The social media personality faced numerous challenges this year. Most recently, on November 1, 2024, he was taken off a flight to London and arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose and a fellow passenger, confirmed the arrest, sharing photos of himself with Bobrisky before departure.
A week earlier, Bobrisky was also detained at the Seme border while attempting to travel from Nigeria to Benin Republic. Images circulated online showed him in a patrol vehicle after his arrest.
