Amidst Diddy’s ongoing legal issues, few people are unaffected by the situation. On the other hand, almost anyone connected to him seems to be dragged into the allegations surrounding him.
The situation is extremely complicated, especially with new lawsuits popping up frequently, making it hard to determine which claims have solid evidence.
Diddy’s past actions are now impacting both him and those around him, including those who have worked with him.
This is evident in the case of Joseph Sherman, a former bodyguard of Diddy, who is now filing a lawsuit against Thalia Graves.
Sherman is seeking $100 million in damages for emotional distress and defamation, following Graves’ allegations that he and Diddy raped her in 2001 at the Bad Boy Records studio. Graves also claims the assault was filmed and the footage sold.
However, Sherman denies these accusations, stating that he was fired from Bad Boy Records in 1999, two years before the alleged incident. He argues that since he was no longer employed by Diddy, it would have been impossible for him to be involved in the alleged crime. Sherman’s lawyer, Darnell Crosland, has called Graves’ claims “completely false” and labeled them as “outrageous and life-altering” without any basis in truth. Sherman believes the allegations are not only untrue but also part of a money-making scheme by Graves.
In a recent interview with NBC News, Sherman revealed text messages that seem to support his claims. In the messages, Graves allegedly offered to exclude Sherman from her lawsuit against Diddy if he agreed to testify on her behalf. She also reportedly threatened to accuse him of showing others videos of the alleged assault. Sherman responded by denying knowing her or ever seeing any such video.
