Lemon, 58, announced on Wednesday that he is leaving X, a decision he made after the 2024 presidential election. He expressed concerns about the platform’s new terms of service, which he sees as a significant issue.
“I once thought it was a space for genuine debate, transparency, and free speech, but now I believe it no longer serves that purpose,” Lemon said in a video posted on X. “Additionally, starting Friday, November 15, X will implement new terms of service, including a clause stating that ‘All disputes… must be brought exclusively in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas or state courts in Tarrant County, Texas.'”
Lemon, who spent almost ten years at CNN and won three regional Emmy Awards early in his career, remains a notable figure even though he’s no longer with a major network.
