J. Alexander Kueng, a former Minneapolis police officer linked to George Floyd’s death, is set to be released from an Ohio prison on Wednesday, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Kueng, one of four officers convicted in connection with Floyd’s 2020 death, received a three-and-a-half-year state sentence after pleading guilty to aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter. He also served a three-year federal sentence for violating Floyd’s civil rights.
Following his release, Kueng will remain under supervision for both state and federal cases.
