The 2025 Grammy Awards kicked off on Sunday, February 2, marking the beginning of music’s most prestigious night. Stars like Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX have already secured wins.
Hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth consecutive year, the annual Recording Academy event took place at Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles, celebrating the breakout stars of 2024, top-charting hits, and the artists who dominated playlists over the past year.
Leading the nominations was Beyoncé, whose 2024 album Cowboy Carter earned her an impressive 11 nods. She expanded her collection of accolades by winning Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration “II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus. Additionally, she made history yet again by taking home the award for Best Country Album, becoming the first Black woman to win in a country music category in 50 years.
With nearly 100 categories spanning various genres, Beyoncé faced tough competition from some of the night’s most-nominated artists, including Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Billie Eilish, and Charli XCX, as well as rising stars like Sabrina Carpenter, Shaboozey, and Chappell Roan.
Beyond celebrating musical achievements, the 2025 Grammys also honored the courageous first responders who risked their lives during last month’s devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The event also raised funds to support those affected by the natural disaster, which left thousands of Southern California residents displaced and caused severe damage to communities.
“The upcoming GRAMMY Awards won’t just be about recognizing the best in music this year—it will also highlight how the power of music can help rebuild, uplift, and support those in need,” said Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. “We are thrilled that so many artists are coming together to show solidarity with fellow musicians and those impacted by the wildfires.”
So, who took home major awards like Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year? Keep reading for the full list of 2025 Grammy winners, and stay tuned for live updates throughout the night.
