Nigerian singer Tems delivered her acceptance speech after winning the Best African Music Performance award at the 67th Grammys.
Her song Love Me Jeje earned her the prestigious award, marking her second Grammy win. She previously won her first Grammy for her contribution to Future’s hit single Wait For U.
This year, Love Me Jeje triumphed over strong contenders, including Yemi Alade’s Tomorrow, Asake’s MMS, Chris Brown’s Sensational featuring Davido and Lojay, and Burna Boy’s Higher.
Notably, all nominees in this category were Nigerian artists. The Best African Music Performance category was introduced just last year, with South African singer Tyla winning the inaugural award for her hit song Water.
Tems shared her gratitude in her acceptance speech, celebrating her second Grammy victory.
