Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit against NBCUniversal and Peacock in New York State Court over the Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy documentary.
The documentary examines allegations against him, which he claims are false and defamatory.
According to the lawsuit, NBCUniversal has long been a trusted news source, but the defendants allegedly exploited this reputation to profit from public interest in Combs’ legal troubles. The film features interviews with former colleagues and assistants and includes claims about his alleged involvement in ex-partner Kim Porter’s death, as well as accusations of sexual misconduct with minors.
Combs argues that the documentary presents him as a criminal without evidence, comparing him to Jeffrey Epstein and portraying him as a “monster” and “an embodiment of Lucifer.” His attorney, Erica Wolff, accused the media companies of prioritizing profit over journalistic integrity.
Combs, who pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including sex trafficking and abuse, was first indicted on September 16, 2024. He was reportedly hospitalized while in jail recently.
