The Trump administration’s push to reduce the size of the federal workforce extended to the Food and Drug Administration this weekend, resulting in the termination of recently hired employees responsible for reviewing the safety of food ingredients, medical devices, and other products.
According to reports, FDA probationary staff members were notified on Saturday evening that their positions were being eliminated.
