Donald Trump has reportedly expressed support for legal action against Prince Harry if it is proven that he lied about his past drug use on his U.S. visa application.
According to reports, the former president is considering action if Harry was not truthful when applying to live in California with Meghan Markle.
Lying on a visa application can result in up to five years in prison or deportation.
Harry, who moved to the U.S. in 2022, admitted in his 2023 memoir Spare to using cocaine, marijuana, and magic mushrooms. He also mentioned that his drug history would have required a “visa waiver.”
Previously, Trump dismissed the idea of deporting Harry, joking that being married to Meghan was punishment enough. However, sources now suggest he may reconsider if the prince is found to have violated immigration laws.
A source stated that if Harry had answered the visa drug question truthfully, he would have undergone a waiver process, and the public has the right to know if that happened. The conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation is pressuring U.S. authorities to release Harry’s visa records.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry has been living in California with Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet. He has not commented on the controversy. The couple spent Valentine’s Day apart, with Harry attending the Invictus Games in Canada while Meghan sent a message praising his dedication.
