A fire broke out at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT on Saturday evening, prompting the evacuation of guests from the “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” ride, according to reports. Thick black smoke was seen rising from the France Pavilion, where the fire ignited shortly after 7 p.m., according to reports.
Disney officials confirmed that all visitors were safely evacuated from the ride, which takes guests on a 4D adventure through a Parisian kitchen and restaurant. The fire reportedly started in the backstage area. Videos shared on social media captured a dark plume of smoke drifting over the park’s skyline.
At the time of the incident, EPCOT was hosting its International Flower & Garden Festival. Authorities quickly extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation, and Disney has not yet provided an official statement.
