President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is hosting Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, for a courtesy visit at his official residence in the State House, Abuja. Mahama arrived at around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, making this his first visit to Tinubu since taking office on January 7, 2025.
The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Ghana, as well as discussing key regional matters within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Both leaders will explore opportunities for collaboration in trade, security, and economic development.
Mahama had previously met with Tinubu at the State House on December 17, 2024, following his election victory on December 7. At the time, Tinubu expressed confidence that Mahama’s leadership would contribute to greater stability within ECOWAS.
