Russell Brand recently opened up on his Rumble show Stay Free with Russell Brand, saying that a major motivation for seeking fame was the desire for sex. He firmly denied the rape and sexual assault allegations made against him in London, emphasizing that he never engaged in any sexual activity without consent.
The accusations, which date back to 1999–2004, reflect a period Brand describes as consumed by “darkness,” driven by sex, drugs, and alcohol. He recalled being promiscuous and pursued by fans due to his celebrity status, seeking constant pleasure. Now sober, Brand insisted that consent was always a priority, and his past behavior shouldn’t be conflated with criminal acts.
Brand says he plans to fully cooperate as the legal case unfolds and believes the charges are surfacing now because he’s been vocal in criticizing the “deep state.”
