The federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs opened Monday in New York City with graphic and unsettling allegations from prosecutors.
According to the government, Combs organized sexually exploitative gatherings known as “Freak Offs,” “Wild King Nights,” and “Hotel Nights,” which involved male escorts, drugs, and cash. Prosecutors allege his staff coordinated logistics, including room setups with mood lighting and lubricants.
One of the most disturbing claims involves Diddy allegedly forcing a male sex worker to urinate in the mouth of his former partner, Cassie, during one such event—an accusation that reportedly left the courtroom stunned. The prosecution also claims Diddy subjected Cassie to severe physical abuse, including kicking her, stomping on her face, and hiding her in a hotel to conceal her injuries. Allegedly, he used explicit recordings as leverage to prevent her from leaving the relationship.
Another woman, referred to as Jane Doe, allegedly entered a relationship with Diddy in 2020, believing her participation in a “freak off” would be a one-time event. Instead, she was reportedly coerced into multiple such parties and subjected to physical and psychological abuse, including drug use and lack of protection.
Key witnesses expected to testify include Cassie, former assistants, and escorts. Diddy has pled not guilty to the five federal charges, with his legal team arguing all activities were consensual.
Just days after surveillance footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in 2016 resurfaced, Cassie addressed the incident publicly for the first time on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the overwhelming support. She shared her ongoing healing journey, encouraged others in similar situations to reach out for help, and urged the public to believe survivors. “It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in,” she wrote.
