The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted DCP Abba Kyari, the former commander of the Force Intelligence Response Team, a temporary bail for two weeks.
This decision follows Kyari’s 27-month detention and allows him to attend and conclude his mother’s burial rites.
Kyari was arrested on February 14, 2022, in connection with drug-related charges filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
A hearing is scheduled for Friday, May 31, to decide on his bail application concerning these charges.
