Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, a former Nigerian beauty queen known as Queen Christmas, has turned herself in to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after being sought by the agency.
Aderinoye, who had been on the run for eight months, surrendered on August 28, 2024, following a raid on her home in Lekki, Lagos in January 2024.
During the raid, NDLEA officials recovered 606 grams of synthetic cannabis, drug packing materials, an electronic scale, and a black SUV.
NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi noted that Aderinoye had been hiding in Akure, Ondo State, since the raid.
The NDLEA declared her wanted for alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
Aderinoye, who also holds the title of Miss Commonwealth Nigeria Culture 2015/2016 and is the founder of the Queen Christmas Foundation, is now in custody.
