After securing a $71 million victory against MGA Entertainment, rapper T.I. has filed a new defamation lawsuit, this time targeting his former friend Sabrina Peterson. According to TMZ, the lawsuit stems from Peterson’s 2021 accusations that T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, threatened her with a gun.
T.I. claims the Harris family severed ties with Peterson due to her negative influence, which allegedly led to her launching a campaign of harassment and spreading false accusations on social media. The rapper asserts that Peterson’s actions were malicious, designed to tarnish his reputation and distress his family. He is seeking unspecified damages for the personal and professional harm caused.
This legal action follows a prior defamation lawsuit Peterson filed against T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, after they publicly denied her allegations of gun threats and other serious claims. The Harris couple has consistently rejected Peterson’s accusations.
Despite plans to retire and release his final album in 2025, T.I. argues that Peterson’s claims have caused lasting damage to his career and reputation. Peterson has yet to respond to the new lawsuit.
