Boxer Josh Popper, romantically linked to pop icon Madonna for nearly a year, faces setbacks in his budding boxing career.
Despite the attention drawn by his relationship with Madonna, Popper’s transition to professional boxing hit a hurdle with a loss in his final amateur bout and a scratched cornea discovered in a medical exam, leading to the denial of his pro license.
The 30-year-old, once an aspiring football player, shifted to boxing after his football pursuits, eventually opening Bredwinners Boxing Studio in New York in 2021.
Madonna and Popper have been a couple since February 2023.
