Somtochukwu Okwuoha, a 26-year-old Nigerian Master’s student at Dundee University in Scotland, has been sentenced to 40 months in prison for making terrorism threats against the school’s staff and students.
The Peth Sheriff Court found him guilty, and he will be deported after serving his sentence.
Okwuoha claimed to have a military background, threatened mass murder, and said he had enlisted ISIS to bomb the university.
Sheriff William Wood recommended his deportation, stating that his presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good.
Okwuoha also targeted a fellow student who rejected his advances, leading to his suspension from the university course.
Witnesses reported receiving emails with terrorist threats, including plans for bombings and biological weapons.
The trial revealed his threats to behead police officers and detonate bombs at Dundee University.
