Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, a Ghanaian woman, is on a quest to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon.
She aims to surpass the current record held by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare, who sang for 105 hours in March 2012.
Starting her singing marathon at midnight on December 24, Afua intends to sing continuously until December 27, totaling 4 days and 9 hours.
She has been performing Ghanaian songs non-stop at the Akwaaba village, where a diverse group of Ghanaians, including A-list musicians and politicians, gathered to support her. Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia also attended to show his support.
