Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael Jackson, has asked the court to require her late son’s estate to pay a six-figure sum for legal bills she accumulated while contesting a deal proposed by the executors.
The 93-year-old revealed that the law firm Glasser Weil billed her $561,548 for their legal services.
Despite Katherine’s objections, the court approved the executors’ deal. Katherine is now appealing the decision and seeking reimbursement for part of her legal fees.
She argues that the estate, which is financially stable, has more than enough resources to cover the expenses incurred during the appeal process, amounting to $561,548.48 from April 1, 2023, to November 30, 2023.
