On Tuesday, Tanzania reinstated approval for Kenya Airways to operate flights between Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.
This decision followed a tit-for-tat exchange, where Tanzania had initially banned Kenya Airways flights due to a dispute over Air Tanzania’s request for cargo flights, which was now granted.
Tanzania has been actively investing in its national carrier since 2016, while Kenya Airways considers Tanzania a significant market with its popular tourist attractions.
