50 Cent’s evasion of criminal charges for using a microphone to strike a DJ doesn’t exempt him from a significant lawsuit.
Bryhana Monegain, a radio host at Power 106 in Los Angeles, filed documents claiming she was hospitalized after 50 Cent’s Final Lap Tour set at the Crypto.com Arena on August 3, 2023.
The lawsuit alleges that when 50 Cent realized his microphone was malfunctioning, he chose to throw it into the crowd.
Bryhana asserts that the mic struck her in the face and wrist, resulting in severe and permanent injuries.
The specified injuries include a concussion, forehead laceration, and various bumps and bruises, aligning with an earlier report on the incident.
Although Bryhana has returned to work at her afternoon radio slot, she claims to still suffer from emotional distress due to the incident.
Her legal action seeks compensation for lost wages during her recovery, along with medical expenses and other damages.
While 50 Cent, through an attorney, had previously denied intentionally harming anyone during the criminal investigation, he is now cleared of those charges. However, he has not yet responded to this new lawsuit.
