President Bola Tinubu declared that no ransom will be entertained for the release of kidnapped children from Kuriga town in Kaduna State.
This statement was made during today’s Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris, relayed this directive to State House Correspondents after the meeting.
President Tinubu emphasized the importance of recovering the children safely and reiterated his stance against paying ransoms to kidnappers.
The administration remains resolute in combating abduction and other criminal activities, with a firm commitment to not tolerate kidnapping, especially mass abductions.
This comes in light of the recent kidnapping of at least 60 individuals in Buba village, Kajuru Local Government Area, just days after the abduction of 287 children from Kuriga hamlet in Chikun Local Government Area.
