T-Mobile plans to introduce new fees for its prepaid channel soon.
As reported by The Mobile Report, instead of the Prepaid SIM Starter Kit, there will be a one-time Device Connection Charge (DCC) fee of $25 starting March 21st for activating a new SIM, replacing the previous $10 fee.
Furthermore, eSIM activations, which were previously free, will now also incur the DCC fee.
In addition to the DCC fee, T-Mobile will introduce a $5 in-store payment support charge for assistance from their representatives at a store.
Notably, this fee will apply each time you seek assistance, rather than being a one-time charge.
The implementation date for the in-store payment support charge is set for after April 25, 2024, according to the report.
These changes await official confirmation from T-Mobile.
