The 2023 Miss Universe title, now in its 72nd consecutive year, was claimed by Sheynnis Palacios from the lesser-known locale of Nicaragua.
Presenters at this year’s event included Jeannie Mai, Maria Menounos, Olivia Culpo, Catriona Gray, and Zuri Hall, while the selection committee featured notable figures like Carson Kressley from RuPaul’s Drag Race, social media personality Avani Gregg, and Miss Universe 2021 runner-up Nadia Ferreira.
The finalists included Moraya Wilson from Australia in third place, Anntonia Porsild from Thailand in second place, and the ultimate victor, Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua.
