On Friday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office revealed that Matthew Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing on “Friends,” passed away at 54 due to the acute effects of ketamine.
Perry, who struggled with addiction and health issues, was found unconscious in a hot tub on October 28.
The medical examiner cited drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine as contributing factors, declaring the manner of death as accidental.
Despite his on-screen success, Perry battled addiction, attending multiple rehabilitation clinics and facing health complications.
His sudden death garnered shocked reactions from Hollywood and his “Friends” co-stars.
