Brazilian pop sensation Dani Li, also known as Danielle Fonseca Machado, passed away at 42 due to complications during liposuction surgery.
The artist, who gained fame for hits like “Eu sou de Amazonia,” underwent surgery for liposuction and a breast reduction but faced complications. The operation cost over $5,000.
Dani Li is survived by her husband Marcelo Mira and their seven-year-old daughter.
Her family announced a ceremony for fans to pay condolences.
Known for songs like “Vem Me Dizer,” Dani Li’s last release was “Guerra de Amor” on Jan. 14.
The cause of her medical complications is under investigation.
