The Director of Rail Transport at the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority, Olasunkanmi Okusaga, has revealed that discussions are underway between the Lagos State Government and the Ogun State Government to extend the Blue Rail Line to Agbara.
Okusaga expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Blue Line Phase 2 project, currently being constructed by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation.
This project, awarded in 2023, is anticipated to be finished within three years and will cover areas like Festac, Alakija, Trade Fair, Volkswagen, LASU, and Okokomaiko.
It will involve the construction of three bridges at Maza Maza, Satellite Town, and LASU, along with plans for a depot in Okokomaiko.
