In the latest update on Brendan Paul’s legal case, he has been officially charged with felony drug possession.
Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player turned assistant to Diddy, was arrested in March during a federal raid at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, where authorities found cocaine and marijuana-infused candy on the plane.
This incident coincided with federal searches at Diddy’s residences in Miami and Los Angeles.
The 25-year-old, known for his close ties to Diddy and involvement in his daily affairs, has pleaded not guilty and maintains his innocence.
His attorney, Brian Bieber, emphasized that the case will be addressed in court rather than in the public eye.
This development unfolds amidst ongoing federal scrutiny of Diddy for various allegations, including sex trafficking and illegal possession of firearms.
The recent searches were part of a sex trafficking investigation in New York, although Diddy was not detained.
His statement following the raids criticized the use of excessive force and expressed concern for how his family and employees were treated.
Diddy’s attorney, Aaron Dyer, denounced the raids as an “unprecedented ambush” and emphasized that there have been no findings of criminal or civil liability against Diddy.
Dyer reaffirmed Diddy’s innocence and vowed to continue fighting to clear his name amidst what he called a “witch hunt” based on baseless accusations from civil lawsuits.
