Nigerian rapper and entertainer Palisade Ogunka, known as Sky B, has resurfaced on social media after an extended absence from the music industry.
Sky B gained fame in the early 2000s with hits like “I am Calling” (Mambebe), “Here I am,” “Pray for Me,” and “You Promised Not to Go,” endearing himself to fans.
However, his sudden disappearance left fans wondering about his whereabouts and well-being.
In 2019, false reports claimed he had died of a heart attack in Owerri, Imo state, but it was later revealed that he was alive and facing personal and career challenges.
Recently, Nigerian tourist and humanitarian Lucky Udu discovered Sky B living modestly in a one-room apartment with his family in Port Harcourt.
Sky B shared his struggles, citing difficulties after signing a 10-year deal with his record label in 2005, which led to his abandonment due to unresolved issues, including loss of rights to his songs and unpaid royalties, leaving him financially strained.
Moved by his plight, Udu and his team shared Sky B’s account details for financial support and provided him with a new phone.
They also launched social media accounts for Sky B under his real name on various platforms.
The response has been overwhelming, with a surge in followers and an outpouring of support for the artist.
Fans and well-wishers are rallying around Sky B, expressing love and excitement for his potential return to the music scene.
