The Los Angeles Police Department announced on Thursday that four individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder of “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor.
The suspects include 18-year-olds Robert Barceleau, Leonel Gutierrez, and Sergio Estrada, all charged with murder, and 22-year-old Frank Olano, charged as an accessory.
The arrests followed search warrants executed at various locations in Los Angeles. Following the arrests, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass emphasized the need for full accountability for those responsible.
Wactor was fatally shot around 3:25 a.m. on May 25 after finishing his shift at a bar. He was confronted by three individuals attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter.
Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, has called for reform in the criminal justice system and expressed her ongoing grief.
The LAPD has released images of the suspects and the stolen vehicle they fled in, seeking public assistance.
Friends and family of Wactor have been vocal in their demands for justice, highlighting his bravery in trying to protect a colleague during the incident.
