Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has expanded her business ventures by launching a new whiskey brand called SirDavis.
The music superstar shared the news on Instagram, where she posed with a glass of the whiskey and showcased the bottle, which features a golden horse emblem.
In her post, she quoted lyrics from her 2024 song “Bodyguard,” writing, “Davis in my bones,” and provided a link to the SirDavis website.
Beyoncé co-founded the American whiskey in collaboration with Moët Hennessy and renowned master distiller Bill Lumsden.
The official website describes the whiskey as a blend of rye and malted barley, finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, offering a balanced taste of spice and subtle fruit notes.
SirDavis, which has already won several awards in 2023, is named in honor of Beyoncé’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a former moonshiner.
In a press release, Beyoncé explained her motivation behind creating SirDavis, stating that her passion for whiskey felt destined after learning about her great-grandfather’s history. She sees SirDavis as a tribute to him, creating a new legacy that connects them.
Fans can preorder a 750ml bottle for $89.99 on the SirDavis website, with the whiskey set to be available in U.S. stores and select airports in September.
The brand’s headquarters will open in Beyoncé’s hometown of Houston in 2025, where SirDavis is also finished, branded, and bottled.
