Anticipation grows as Afrobeat artist Davido reveals the release date for his much-anticipated collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Angelique Kidjo.
Davido shared his excitement on social media about working with the legendary Beninese-French singer-songwriter on their new track, “JOY,” set to drop on Friday, August 30th. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating:
“It was an honor working with the legend @angeliquekidjo on JOY. Dropping Friday.”
Angelique Kidjo highlighted that the song embodies everything she stands for and expressed her appreciation for Davido’s role in their successful collaboration.
She shared: “This song JOY is who I am! Coming out this Friday, thank you @davido for bringing your LIGHT! No one could have done it better. We hope this song can bring the world together for a moment of JOY!”
This is not the first collaboration between Davido and the 64-year-old artist; they previously teamed up on his hit song, “Na Money,” alongside The Cavemen.
