The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, and Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, regarding allegations of bribery involving EFCC personnel.
The EFCC’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has ordered an immediate probe into claims that Bobrisky bribed some EFCC officers.
In a viral video posted by Martins Otse, Bobrisky accused unnamed EFCC officers of accepting ₦15 million to dismiss money laundering charges against him.
Bobrisky had previously faced six charges related to currency abuse and money laundering, amounting to ₦127,780,877.98, deposited into his company’s Eco Bank account between September 2021 and April 2024.
The charges were reduced after EFCC’s lawyer, Suleiman Suleiman, informed the court of an agreement with Bobrisky, leading to the withdrawal of two charges.
Bobrisky was convicted of currency abuse, but allegations of bribery have surfaced.
EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, announced that both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan have been called to assist in the investigation.
He assured the public that the matter will be thoroughly investigated, upholding the EFCC’s values of integrity and professionalism.
