Nigerian crossdresser and social media personality Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
The suit, announced on Bobrisky’s Instagram, claims that VeryDarkMan circulated an AI-generated audio clip accusing Bobrisky of illicit relations with politicians and law enforcement officials.
Bobrisky’s legal team asserts that VeryDarkMan used their client’s name and influence to boost his own social media profile, making false claims without evidence. The lawsuit highlights that the accusations have caused significant harm to Bobrisky’s reputation, mental health, and constitutional rights.
The suit demands that VeryDarkMan delete the defamatory audio, publicly apologize through national newspapers and social media, and pay ₦1 billion in damages. Failure to comply within 24 hours will result in further legal action.
The dispute stems from a viral audio where Bobrisky allegedly mentioned bribes involving law enforcement, a claim he denies.
