Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Tinubu and Iyaloja-General, has been named Ambassador for the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education.
Muhammad Sani Idris, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, announced the appointment, emphasizing Tinubu-Ojo’s commitment to aiding disadvantaged communities.
Her efforts in promoting trade and advocating for the resources and opportunities available to market women were also acknowledged.
In response to her new role, Tinubu-Ojo expressed her gratitude and dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians, referencing her father’s commitment to education as a “lasting legacy for Nigerian children.”
She also praised Idris, wishing him success in tackling the challenges faced by Almajiri and out-of-school children and promoting education as essential for their development.
