After another eventful and entertaining year, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is taking a break.
The ABC late-night show, led by the ever-busy Jimmy Kimmel—known for hosting the Oscars and regularly making headlines—is officially going on hiatus through the end of 2024.
Kimmel announced the break during his December 13 monologue while previewing the office holiday party.
Starting December 16, ABC will air reruns of the show, beginning with the December 12 episode featuring Josh Brolin, Clarence Maclin, and RAYE. The show is set to return with new episodes on January 2, 2025, though the guest lineup has yet to be revealed.
Kimmel, who typically takes summers off, seems ready for some downtime to recharge before what promises to be a hectic January.
Upon his return, he’ll dive into major events like the election certification and Donald Trump’s inauguration, while also welcoming Hollywood’s biggest stars post-holiday season.
Fans can expect plenty of laughs and memorable moments when the show resumes.
