50 Cent’s highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, which kicked off last month, has been met with lackluster reviews. Last week, Las Vegas tour guide Jennifer Gay shared a harsh critique of the show in a video posted on social media.
“The sound quality was so poorly balanced that it was impossible to hear the performance clearly,” Gay stated. “His hypemen were overwhelming, drowning out everything with their echoes. The stage design and graphics looked like they were thrown together in 15 minutes using a ChatGPT prompt for ’90s hip-hop images.”
She added, “50’s publicists hyped this show as an unforgettable night of surprises and energy, but the only surprise was the lack of energy. There was almost no crowd engagement.
The calls for an encore started just 63 minutes into the performance, and he returned for only 15 minutes before leaving the stage abruptly without even a thank you.”
Ja Rule, who has a longstanding feud with 50 Cent, couldn’t resist chiming in. Responding to the review on X, he sarcastically wrote, “Not the worst,” accompanied by laughing emojis.
While 50 Cent is usually the one dishing out the trolling, this time, he seems to be on the receiving end. The Queens rapper and Ja Rule have been at odds for nearly 25 years, trading barbs frequently, including multiple exchanges on social media in 2024.
In March, Ja Rule appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and discussed his history with 50 Cent, even claiming they had a physical altercation. When Piers asked about the alleged fight, Ja replied, “That’s happened already too, Piers. You gotta do your research.”
