Kanye West has certainly made headlines this month, starting with his and wife Bianca Censori’s appearance at the Grammys. Censori made a bold statement by wearing a long fur coat, which she removed on the red carpet to reveal a nearly transparent dress, drawing mixed reactions from social media.
Soon after, Ye went on a wild and offensive Twitter rant that lasted several days. He made controversial remarks praising Adolf Hitler, demanding Diddy’s release from prison, calling himself racist, and disparaging the late Virgil Abloh, among other things. His account was temporarily suspended due to the backlash, but was reinstated earlier this week. Since then, he has posted various tweets, including one criticizing the Grammys.
In his tweet, Ye expressed frustration with being nominated but not receiving tickets, stating, “How could the Grammys nominate me, then not give me tickets? And then people mad when I go off.” He explained that it took him five hours and numerous calls to finally get tickets, but only for the red carpet. He added that his rant began after the ticket issue was resolved.
This comes just weeks after he called out Don Lemon for spreading a rumor that he and Censori were kicked out of the Grammys. He posted a photo of Lemon on Instagram, labeling him a “goofball” and accusing him of spreading false rumors. Lemon later responded, clarifying that he had corrected the rumor after Kanye’s team contacted him.
