Over the past few months, Justin Bieber has faced growing speculation from fans and the media about his health and his marriage to Hailey Bieber. But on Thursday, he finally addressed the rumors.
In a candid Instagram Story, the pop star called out the “gossip” and “lies” being spread online, saying, “They treat me like expletive out here, but I remember that I am flawed and God forgave me.” He reflected on his own imperfections, adding, “It helps me stop feeling better than those who are mean and hurtful because, honestly, I can be mean and hurtful too.”
Bieber acknowledged the instinct to call out internet gossip but admitted, “There’s other stuff I do I’m not proud of.” Regarding his relationship with Hailey, whom he married in 2018, he confirmed they are still solid and thriving. He even suggested the negativity may stem from envy: “Honestly if I was you, it would be hard not to be jealous of me and Hailey going brazzzzyy… It’s really up for us, and that’s why people can’t stand it.” He ended by saying, “Hailey and I are the Jones’s that are impossible to keep up with.”
This marks the first time Bieber has publicly addressed the swirling rumors, and he made it clear he’s setting the record straight.
