A rising country music star reported being stopped by the U.S. Coast Guard while departing Put-in-Bay after performing at a major music festival on the island.
Jelly Roll shared a video on Instagram around 11 p.m. Wednesday, saying, “We got pulled over by the Coast Guard!” He added, “It was wild. We had the county sheriff with us, but everything turned out fine. We’re back on our way. Thanks to everyone who was worried.”
Earlier that evening, Jelly Roll, who won several awards at the 57th Annual Country Music Awards, including New Artist of the Year, posted another video showing him on a boat with the caption, “Never been to a show that requires a boat ride – this is cool.”
Jelly Roll headlined Bash on the Bay, a two-day outdoor festival held at Put-in-Bay Airport on South Bass Island.
