Brendan Paul, identified as Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged drug mule, has had all charges against him dropped in Florida.
State prosecutors dismissed the case after Paul completed a six-month pretrial diversion program, which he agreed to as part of a plea deal in May 2024.
Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player and assistant to Diddy, was arrested on March 26 at Opa-Locka Airport in Miami. Authorities claimed he was carrying cocaine and marijuana-infused candy in his travel bags.
Initially charged with felony drug possession, Paul pleaded not guilty but later avoided jail time through the diversion program, a common resolution for first-time, non-violent offenders in possession cases.
The allegations against Paul arose amid federal investigations into Diddy for sex trafficking, sparked by lawsuits from music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones and singer Cassie Ventura. Jones accused Paul of serving as Diddy’s “drug mule,” acquiring and distributing drugs and weapons.
Despite the dismissal of his state case, federal prosecutors have not extended any deals to Paul, leaving him potentially implicated in ongoing federal racketeering and sex trafficking investigations involving Diddy.
