Cassie Ventura concluded her final day of testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial on Friday, delivering a last pointed message alongside her husband, Alex Fine.
Over four days, Ventura described the “abuse and fear” she endured during their 11-year relationship, detailing Combs’ frequent “freak-off” sex acts that left her feeling like “basically a sex worker,” and the physical beatings she allegedly suffered. Her testimony is central to the prosecution’s argument that Combs regularly used coercion and his influence to pressure victims into sexual acts.
Eight months pregnant with her third child, Ventura expressed relief at finishing her testimony. Her attorney read a statement from her saying the experience was both “extremely challenging” and “remarkably empowering and healing.” She hoped her words would inspire other survivors to speak out and heal, adding, “The more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget.” She thanked her family and supporters and asked for privacy for herself and her growing family.
Fine, who supported Ventura throughout the trial, also issued a statement praising her courage and strength. He addressed online speculation about his feelings hearing her testimony, sharing his pride, love, and anger that she had to face the man who tried to break her. He insisted that neither Combs nor anyone involved broke her spirit or her joy. Fine emphasized that Ventura alone overcame the abuse and coercion she endured, saying, “She did the work of fighting the demons that only a demon himself could have done to her.”
The trial proceeded with testimony from Homeland Security agent Yasin Binda, who led the raids on Combs’ homes in March 2024.
Dawn Richards, former Danity Kane singer who has also sued Combs for sexual assault and harassment, is expected to testify next.
