Jerrid Joseph Powell, 33, from Los Angeles, faces charges including four counts of murder, one count of residential robbery, and one count of being a felon with a firearm, following a four-day alleged killing spree targeting four victims, including three homeless men.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney filed charges, citing incidents between Nov. 26 and Nov. 29.
Powell is accused of shooting three homeless men and robbing and killing another victim, Nicholas Simbolon, on Nov. 28.
Police Chief Michel Moore expressed suspicion of potential connections to other unsolved murders in the area.
Powell’s bail is set at $2.1 million.
