On Tuesday, Waze unveiled six new features for its app, that provides precise directions for navigating roundabouts, including entrance points, lane selection, and exits.
Android users can expect this feature this month, while iOS users will receive it later this year.
Waze is enhancing the driving experience with additional alerts, such as flashing speed limit signs ahead of decreases, warnings for sharp curves, speed humps, and shared toll booths.
These alerts, designed to alleviate stress, will be available on both iOS and Android this month.
Notably, Waze introduces an alert for emergency vehicles on your route, giving you ample time to slow down when encountering obstacles like a parked ambulance.
Parking struggles? Waze has partnered with parking technology platform Flash to provide comprehensive information about parking garages, including cost, coverage, wheelchair accessibility, valet services, and the availability of EV charging stations.
The feature, set to roll out in the coming weeks, covers over 30,000 parking garages in major US and Canadian cities, allowing users to reserve spots directly within the Waze app.
For those who stick to a familiar route regardless of traffic or construction, Waze is introducing a feature allowing users to compare their usual route with the fastest option, complete with details about potential delays. This feature is expected to arrive later this month.
